Beng Chai has over 30 years of extensive corporate and commercial experience in Singapore and Malaysia. He founded Tay & Partners in 1989 and established both JB and KL Offices. He has been the Managing Partner of the firm since inception. He has led the firm’s growth and is closely involved in its overall client business. His personal professional specialisation is in corporate work i.e. M&A, equity capital markets, private equity and competition law. He has also been involved in international trade and investment work, and general regulatory and commercial practice. He is also a co-founding partner of Bird & Bird ATMD LLP, Singapore.
Graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Laws (LL.B (Hon)) (Second Upper) from the National University of Singapore in 1985. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor to the Singapore Bar in 1986 and as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1989. Beng Chai is also a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators.
Beng Chai has spoken at various conferences, conducted training seminars for clients on competition law, chaired seminars and participated in panel discussions on a variety of corporate and business topics.
